Grow & Show 2008

Due to customer pressure we are pleased to announce that our 2008 to 2009 Grow & Show will be-
Dianichi Showa- The cost for each showa is ONLY £195

We did intend to look for another breeder but there are very few who can let us have the volume of koi at this quality. Last year we hand selected each koi, which at the time were circa 15cm. This year they are already circa 20-25cm!!!!
With everyone being amazed at the results we had with growth and development last year we thought it only fitting to do it again.
This year we have asked Dainichi to carefully select each koi for us ALL to learn from!
Please remember we sold out last year within 3 days, so don’t miss out!
Selection of these koi will be the weekend of 8th & 9th of March 2008

Once selected they WILL be grown on for the summer months in a Richdon growing pond, with collection of the koi being around August time, a date will be announced in the Spring.
One thing we will not be doing this year is netting up the koi to take development photographs. We found last year this caused too many split fins and stress on the koi along with around a months growing time lost!
In the autumn of 2009, we will ask for pictures to be sent to us for our chosen judge to select the winner. This means a season of growing at Richdon & a season of growing with the hobbyist, allowing further development of each showa.
THE PRIZE- A trip of a lifetime to Japan with Richdon Koi in 2010. This includes your flight, hotel, rail pass or for those who cannot make it a £1200 koi voucher.
Selecting the Showa’s :-
Later today we will set up on the web site in the dry goods section a entry icon, where you can pay via credit card the total of £195 as if you was ordering dry goods from our web site, safe and secure. Or you can phone our office giving credit card details etc.
Once we have chosen the tosai selection weekend, and our closing date passed. We will fairly draw your selection number and time to select Dainichi showa.
If you are a last entrant number then do not worry we will have a further 20 to 25 koi for you to choose from. A few days before the selection weekend we will place pictures of the koi on our website
Rules:-
NO koi will be allowed to be taken before the release date.
If for any reason a koi is lost (dies etc) then a FULL refund of £195 per koi will be given!
Unsatisfactory development is NOT the responsibility of Richdon Koi, and each koi will have to be taken.
We cannot keep the koi over the winter of 2008/2009!
There are no restrictions on multiple entrants per household!
