(posted: 29-02-2008)Dear Koi Club member
The koi to select from are already on our website, so please feel free to browse through.
We suggest that you make a list of up to and over 5 koi which you would like to enter
Here are the 2008 to 2009 guidelines, which are slightly different to last year.
Grow & show selection guidelines and information.
When it is your time to select you’re grow & show either Saturday or Sunday, here are our guidelines, PLEASE READ:-
1- Please be ready at least 5 minutes before your time slot, and make yourself known to the girl on the till (Helen) or Donna if available.
2- We will advise where to go to select your koi
3- If you are late for your time slot then, we are sorry to say you will have to wait until the end of that particular day to select.
4- There will be FURTHER bio-security in place, so please use both available, our normal one and the further one near the selection pond.
5- We advise you to bring along a maximum of 5 pictures of the koi you wish to choose
6- Once it is your selection time, you are given a maximum of 10 minutes
7- You allowed ONLY 3 koi in the bowl, no others can be allowed or change of mind given. This is to ensure the health of the koi for the future!
8- There is plenty of time to select your koi, please do not panic, or rush your selection. A clock showing the time will be displayed.
9- We ask that you do not wander to other parts of our facility without permission. Anyone found doing so in the competition, will be disqualified, with NO refund. Bio-Security is paramount.
10- ONLY a partner is allowed to select with you, a friend or fellow hobbyist is not allowed to aid your selection! Sorry there is no room for more.
11- Once the koi has been selected they will stay in the same pond for the next 4 weeks, and be grown on.
12- To aid those on who are selecting on the Sunday, we intend to show on our web site Saturday night the koi selected this day.
13- We ask that you NEVER disclose the koi you have chosen to any other entrant or hobbyist wherever possible.
14- All pictures from our web site are the copyright of Richdon Koi. However we do not mind the print out for the ease of the competition selection.
We hope we have covered everything for you, if you have any questions then please do not hesitate and contact us
Richard & Alan will be with the koi whilst selection takes place. We cannot at any point advise on which koi to select.
See you Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th March
