JAPAN AUTUMN 2008.

 

We are off to Japan for our autumn buying trip on the 28th October. We actually arrive in Nagaoka and start to search for koi on the 30th, so keep a close eye on our Japan pages from then until the 6th November. As per any trip to Japan, pictures, video's and even a daily diary on our forum will  be as close as you can get to being there with us!

As per usual you can purchase koi we buy from our Japan pages with a larger discount than in store when they arrive in the Uk. Please remember though there is a difference this year and we will NOT be holding koi overwinter, and most will be required to be collected by Christmas at the latest.

If you are looking for that special koi this autumn then why not contact us before we go. This will give you an even larger discount on the in-store price and even more than the Japan pages. Please email us with a realistic price, variety, age and we will search for that special koi. We will email you a picture for your approval even before we leave Japan. Pre ordering a koi or selecting from our Japan Pages means there is no obligation to accept this koi once it is presented to you in a bowl in the UK.
If on a very rare occasion the koi is not to your liking, then a credit will be given towards the purchase of another koi, or equivilant loyalty points added to your account. Loyalty points CAN be used to purchase koi direct from Japan, either by a pre-order or via the Japan pages.

 

Richdon Harvest of the 50k.

Well on October 4th saw the harvest of the Richdon Koi Farms 50,000 gallon indoor growing pond.
Over 50 hobbyists travelled from all over the country to see this event. ALL left with smiles on their faces and happy memories of an event as close to harvesting a mud pond in Japan as you can get. We have certainly been pleased with the results the koi have made this year, with a VERY high % improving beyond expectation. Some tosai placed in the pond in mid-May reaching 54cm when harvested early October. Larger than some of the Nisai we purchase on our Autumn harvest visit to Niigata.

Customers this year have been overwhelmed with the results their koi have made. Now seeing what value for money this service provides along with the excitement of the harvest and searching for the koi as they feed when visiting throughout the summer.

Certainly something to look forward to in 2009.

NOTE:- If you have koi with us harvested from the 50k then this weekend is your LAST collection. PLEASE collect them this weekend, any problems please get in touch!

ONLINE until the end of October we are offering NUTRIKOI PERFORMANCE with double loyalty points.

 

CLOSED ON A FRIDAY.

Throughout the winter and until early Spring we will be closed completely every Friday, unless stated!
So ANY orders placed after 12 noon on a Thursday will NOT be dispatched until the following Monday.
There will be an answer phone service each Friday and someone will contact you on the Saturday for emergency requirements.
