DAINICHI vs SEKIGUCHI (Showa) Grow & Show.

A new twist this year to the grow and show competition and an opportunity to see different breeders koi grow and develop side by side. We will using koi from each breeder....

So you will have a choice of each breeder when you come to select (to be nomiated at ordering time). There will ONLY be 55 entrants, with 75 koi to chosen from overall.

THE PRIZE!
This will be the winners Flight and Hotel paid for on a trip to Japan in Autumn 2010,  OR , a £1200 Koi voucher to spend here at Richdon if you prefer.
 
We will of course, as in the last two competitions, grow each koi from the time they land till Mid-July. With us hoping to achieve koi reaching 40cm or so by time they are due to go home to your own ponds. This year we are extending our Grow and Show pond and this will be around 10,000gallons and the stocking levels will be improved - which gives us high hopes for the growth of these koi.
 
We will be asking for Final Pictures just before our visit to Japan Spring 2010! We intend to ask Dainichi to judge the Dainichi koi, along with Seki-Guchi to judge their koi, then ask Exclusive to judge the winner overall. The winner will be announced while we are on our spring trip in 2010.

PRICES
A single entry will be £245.  (It has been at £195 for the past few years, keeping the koi at this price would mean a drop in quality, due to the current poor Yen rate, something we would prefer not to do).

Due to how good this offer and prize is, we cannot let customers have any membership discount off these prices, nor will you be able to use loyalty points, or gain any loyalty points from this purchase.

SELECTION
Selection date will be mid-March (to be announced and confirmed), where you will be drawn out of a hat for your selection times on a specific date. Do not worry if you cannot make it, you can ask someone to select for you.

Do not worry if you are one of the last to select as many times some of the last koi to be selected have won this type of competition.
 
Once the koi have been selected they will be placed into our upgraded Grow & show growing pond until mid-July, where usually in the past most koi are 35 to 40cm by this time. Certainly an ideal opportunity for a tosai of this value to be grown on here at Richdon. NOWHERE else can you find such a service for a Grow & Show competition!

Rules:-
NO koi will be allowed to be taken before the release date.
If for any reason a koi is lost (dies etc) while on Richdon premises then a FULL refund per koi will be given!
Unsatisfactory development is NOT the responsibility of Richdon Koi, and each koi will have to be taken come the collection date in July.
Entrants are not allowed to bring friends with them to select.
