NEW KOI RELEASED
We now have added new koi on our Richdon Koi Farm website HERE . Some special tosai bought on our June visit. These koi are truly some of the best on offer in the UK at present, and all have the option to be grown on in the 50,000 gallon pond this summer.
We also have some Nisai to go onto our main website as well as tosai ranging from £125 to £400 as well in the next week or so.
On the 11th of July we will be releasing over 300 new small tosai ranging from £10 up to £125 into our outside ponds!
BBQ Weekend
The 18th of July is a day NOT to be missed here at Richdon. Not only will our new special tosai be on show for the first time, this day will be full of FREE activities for you to learn about your hobby.
The day's FREE events are as follows:-
12noon- Health talk. How to take mucus scrapes, treat minor injuries on koi, how to handle koi etc
14:00- Talk by Steve and Anthony Grey. These guys are well known in this hobby, and have won major awards at all levels on the show circuit. They will be giving a talk on their past experiences in Japan, what they look for in a koi and advice on showing koi
16:00- Talk by Mushio. Martin is now the Show chairman of the BKKS, Chairman of the EMKC, and a koi nut!
Our marquee was packed last year to hear his antics whilst in Japan. This year he will be talking about the National show, joining the BKKS (Assisted by Dave Pope), and the up and coming EMKC winter show.
19:00 till late- BBQ & Disco. Due to the very popular Hog Roast this event is ticket only, which are only £4 per person. Bring along a tent, stay in a hotel, or crash in your car. This event is ticket only, which are only £4 per person. Bring your own drink, food will be provided for everyone- All we ask is that you provide your own drink. This is certainly one of the main highlights of the year here at Richdon Koi, SO many people come along, have a laugh, talk koi and make many new friends. Please let us know if you wish to pitch up a tent!.
