April News- Japan Spring visit
(posted: 29-03-2011)Dear Koi Club Member
This Thursday March 31st we fly to Japan. Despite the recent events and devastation the area we are visiting is not effected so our visit is still going ahead.
If everything goes to plan then by Saturday 2nd April we should have our first koi on our website.
You can follow our daily events either on our Japan pages HERE or you can follow fellow hobbyists daily diary on our forum www.koihelp.co.uk
Spring visit to Japan
Please remember our Spring visit to Japan is mainly to buy tosai (one year old koi). You can see most of the koi we purchase on our Japan pages and quite easily purchase any of these whilst we are in Japan. We do have some ordering policies which we advise you read through carefully HERE.
Our Japan pages are the closest thing to being with us in Japan, and you are first in the queue of buying our koi the SAME day as we have.
Our Japan pages over the years and especially our Spring visit has become VERY popular with many koi being purchased before we return to the Uk.
This year we will be offering 20% members discount and you can still use any loyalty points against a koi purchase (remember the 50% rule).
If there is a koi you like the look of and it is within your budget please do not hesitate, so many times we receive comment that a customer has missed out.
You can change your mind whilst we are still in Japan for another koi so it is best to order quickly to avoid disappointment.
Growing Koi at Richdon-
VOLUME = VOLUME
Remember we now have in place two facilities to grow koi from Tosai to Nisai and now beyond. You can purchase any tosai from our Spring trip over the value of £550 to enter our 50,000gallon growing pond for only £145. This ensures the BEST first season in the Uk for your young koi, given heat, lots of food (Nutrikoi of course) and more importantly volume of water to swim around in to generate volume on your koi. Now that our 100,000gallon facility is in its second season, people are now beginning to see the condition and more importantly the volume we create on koi grown here at Richdon Koi.
So if you wish to have your Tosai grown with us here this season not only will you be safeguarding your koi's future potential but also the chance to have it grown on a further year in our 100,000gallon pond.
Why not visit us and see the results in our 100k pond this weekend which is already at 20c?
We are now confident we can take a tosai of 35cm to 65cm+ within two growing seasons here at Richdon Koi and unlike others, we do not keep them warm during the winter, and give them a natural balance of 10c for 5/6 months.
Why not Pre-order a koi?
If there is any special koi you would like us to search for whilst in Japan then please email richard@richdon-koi.com
Please specify your variety, age and budget. It is important you give us a budget to work with and we will try our best within reason to find that special koi for you. We will place a picture of your koi along with a video on our Japan pages for your viewing.
Over winter koi Collections.
For those of you who have koi with us over winter they will be ready for collection from the 16th April.
