New facility
We are in the process of expanding our quarantine facility. This new facility will help Richdon Koi to provide as healthy koi as possible, under guidance from our Vet, the ministry and of course our agent in Japan. This autumn we will be quarantining each breeder’s koi individually. Our quarantine time in this and our present quarantine facility will go from 2 weeks to 4 weeks before anyone even looks at the koi we have bought back from Japan. This means our autumn harvest koi will not be on sale until Christmas, even then we will be selling to heated customers only. More will be explained in our next newsletter, but rest assure Richdon Koi is and will be one of the safest places to buy your koi from.

Japan autumn ‘06
We will be visiting Japan on or around the 4th of November. The number of breeders we intend to visit will be restricted to where our agent advises us to go. With this in mind and the success of our online Japan Pages, we will only be taking orders for specimen koi over the value of £1000. More information will be in our next newsletter…..

Nutrikoi Wheatgerm:-
Due to the very high success this year with our Nutrikoi Premium, we have taken this successful formulation and put it into a winter/wheat-germ food. Our wheat-germ food has less protein than premium by using less shrimp meal and more wheat-germ. Made in cooperation with Kusuri, and after initial trials we are sure we have found another winning food ‘freshly’ made in the Uk. We are sure this is one of the first wheat-germ foods which does NOT contain wheat-flour, also containing more garlic, Optimum and pre-biotic to ensure your koi’s health.
