Always striving for the best, Richdon Koi have developed a koi food, in cooperation with Kusuri, that provides only the best for your koi.
A number of different types of Nutrikoi are available:
Wheat flour is a major carbohydrate constituent in many pelleted foods, carbohydrates are only slowly digested by koi. This food has been specifically formulated to remove all wheat flour, allowing greater pellet digestibility at varying temperatures.
Using Kelp, Kusuri Klay, Propolis, Optimum , NutriKoi Premium has ideal ingredients for feeding koi of all ages to produce excellent growth rates with very little waste. However water temperature controls the metabolic rate within Koi, the warmer the water the greater the metabolic activity, and in turn the better the uptake of nutrients.
Especially formulated for koi two years old and above. Silkworm protein is acknowledged by Japanese breeders as the ultimate ingredient for any koi food, not only for growth but for colour improvement of Koi. Silkworm Pupae have a unique type of protein and silk oil properties that koi can digest easily. With 38% protein properties we advise feeding down to 15°C with no adverse effects, and reduced down to little feeding at 12°C.
Ideal for growing on those small koi in high temperatures. This 45% protien food has been found to give the best results. We have grown 6" koi to 12" in 3 months at 22c with minimul waste. Also ok for larger koi if mixed with other foods in the summer like Nutrikoi premium.
Nutrikoi Wheatgerm has been especially formulated, now with increased garlic and wheatflour free, to aid digestibility and most of all produce less waste.
This wheatgerm formula contains the high nutrient ingredients included in the Premium formula, such as krill, kelp, garlic, propolis and optimum. Wheatgerm feeds can of course be fed at any time, but are particularly popular during autumn, winter and early spring periods when pond water temperatures are low and a reduced feeding protocol is usually adopted. With this in mind, Nutrikoi Wheatgerm has been deliberately developed to include a very high level of vitamins, and minerals.
Paste food is ideal for those summer months of temperatures 18c and above.
This food comes in a dry powder form and when mixed with water or orange juice, forms a dough ball to break off in small pieces and feed your koi. No heat processing at all, so all the goodness of this food is trapped inside as you mix it together.
Using all the best ingredients possible for this paste food, you should find more growth, less waste and certainly stronger colours with your koi without spoiling the white ground.
