beano,

you'll have to resize pics to post from pretty much any decent camera,

Ian

Beano what are you using to edit your pics if photoshop then you can set up an action.
Basically you go through the process of resizing pic but you are recording what you are doing at the end you save your action.
The next time you open a file that you want to post on the forum you just apply the resizing action with a click of one button job done.

Cheers shane

if it not blinking then is charged themore the bat needs charging the faster the light will blink.
untill you get manual set camera to av mode on top left dial this is aperature.
ypu then set aperature you want ie 2.8 used for say portrait and will blur back ground, 16 for landscape will keep more of picin focus.

your pic looks overexposed to me do what i said above and put on f8 and take same pic.
no what you have is not photoshop,

cheers shane

AV mode - set at f8 (after a lot of thinking with no instructs) first pic was taken in a-dep.?
could over - exposure be due to sun behind it?
p.s just started downloading the maual for it :( bloody hell -used nearly 100 sheets of paper and ran out!! managed to get upto 5,advanced operations, nick some paper in work tomoz to finish it off, SOO simple these camera,s?

yeh beano allot to learn i think i have a mag somewhere with basics in i will have a look if still got it and post it to you as dont need it.
you were trying to take a hard shot with bright background, camara would have been blinking at you to alter exposure compensation.
normal thing to do in that situation is is to zoom in on main part of pic you want take an exposure reading and lock it ,recompose your shot and take pic,and yes your camera can do this.
also get used to looking at your histogram it will tell you if your shot over or under exposed.
take a look at before and after shots of your pond you can see the diff small alteration in photoshop can do.
if you look at last pic which is a snap shot of me altering in photoshop.
you can see the histogram you have a nice peak in middle but high peak to the right which is highlight and to the left the shaded area of histgram does not extend to edge of glass showing you are lacking in blacks.
so all i did was to drag the back point to the edge of the shaded histogram.so get used to looking at histogramand make alteration to camera setup and take pic again.
i wont add any more to post as turning into camera forum lol.

two more little points - watch for the horizon and keep it level, in the window picture aim for the bottom of the window to be level. I would also crop the picture so that the brickwork forms a nice frame around the window.
